1.1. Day one (Sunday-October 12)
Our journey started at midnight. First we caught the earliest bus to
İstanbul. When we arrived to the airport we waited for the flight time more than
five hours. We were lucky because there was no delay of the flight. The students
were nervous because they had never flown before the Belgium flight. After
three hours we landed on Brussels in safe. A driver was waiting for us to fetch
us to Geel. He was very helpful.
When we arrived in Geel, Guy, Rosemarijn and Johan were waiting for us
with the host families. The students went with their hosts and Guy showed our
way to the hotel with his car. It was a nice and historical place. The owner of
the hotel was also so kind. It was in the centre of Geel and we had a chance to
walk everywhere.
On Sunday evening there was a dinner for the early comers. Portugese,
Slovenian and Turkish teams were at the dinner with the Belgian team. The pizza
was delicious and we had a chance to taste one of the 1200 different beers.
