Day two (Monday-October 13)

The week started with the opening ceremony at school. The Belgian team and their headmaster Mrs Hilde Verdonck were there to welcome us.
Each team introduced themselves to the group.
The Belgian team presented the programme and explained about the non-verbal body. The programme was full of workshops about non verbal body and trips to the nearby cities.
After the ceremony, the teachers visited the different parts of the school. The school was amazing. It was a vocational school and we liked the working way of the school. The students were working on their fields. I like The Bakery Department most. They were cooking the delicious chocolates and breads. That week’s Friday was Turkish day for the Bakery Department; they cooked varieties of Baklava and Tulumba which are very special deserts for Turkish Kitchen. We tasted the deserts and those were the same in Türkiye.
In the self service restaurant, the meals were prepared and served by the school students. They were delicious also.
In the afternoon the presentations were watched. The topic was A Day in the Life. We watched the similarities and differences of students’ lives. Generally the lives of the students were the same.
Then the students started to create the soul of the non verbal body. The Belgian team asked for the students express their feelings for each day. In each day the delegations students express on different part of the body. The first day the head was the duty of our students. They expressed their anxiety and happiness.
School day ended and till the teachers’ dinner we had some more free time. We walked around the Geel and tried to discover the city. The students went to play bowling.
In the evening, the restaurant VAN GOGH was on the Market Square where each restaurant was. The dinner table was amazing. There was a huge table with the flowers in the middle. Everyone can see each other easily.

The starter and the salmon were very delicious. During the meal we talked about differences of our lives.
