poland meeting Monday – March 16th

                   

The first working day began at 8.50. Monika came to take us to building where the opening ceremony would take place. The first thing that attracted our attention was the tree on which some of the photos of previous meetings had been stuck. It was great to see and remember the nice memories.

After Monika and the headmistress’s welcome speeches, the teams introduced themselves one by one.

Then we watched a video about Poland, Wloclawek and the school.

It was coffee break time for teachers. After tasting the delicious cakes with coffee we enjoyed the fascinating dance performance by a local folk dance group -Kujawy-.

Later on there was an enjoyable activity prepared for students. All the students proved their skills on dancing and creating handmade products.

At that time, teachers were on a guided tour around Wloclawek. Thanks to our guide. We learned a lot about the city. The sunshine and the nice weather doubled our happiness during the tour.

At 13.30 it was time for lunch. As a Turkish team, we enjoyed the tasty fish and salad. After lunch, each partner presented their ‘future’ videos. We all had fun while watching the interviews but it was so clear that peace in the world was the common desire of all the interviews.

It was 15.30 when the first working day ended.

In the evening, we had traditional Polish inner in a restaurant called Retro which had a very warm atmosphere and delicious dishes.
